RBG Make a Wish: Caelann's Tuition
Donation protected
Disclaimer: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not tell Caelann that we are fundraising for her. This is planned to be a surpise for her and will be unveiled at a party on Monday, December 19th.
RBG Make a Wish: It has become a recent staff tradition every holiday season to highlight a co-worker in need as a way to take care of those in the RBG family we all know and love. Last year, we banded together to buy Christmas presents for one of our servers and her family during a time of financial hardship. The sucess of Redmond's Bar & Grill is anchored by the people in it, both guests and staff. This year, we chose to highlight Caelann.
We often refer to Caelann as the heartbeat of RBG, providing an energy and electricity that lights up the restaurant. If you've had the pleasure of meeting Caelann, you quickly understand how remarkably unique this person is. She may sit down with you at your table to take your order, teach you an elaborate high-five, dance your plates to your table, and the list goes on. What you have is an often strange, but truly genuine person who cares about each and every person she comes in contact with.
Why We Need Your Help: Caelann has been struggling to get approved for student loans due to her income and a short history of credit. So far, in her first year as a transfer student at Seattle University, she has been paying out of pocket. After scholarships and federal grants, her remaining cost per quarter is ~$2000 - $2500. Caelann works seemingly constantly to save for her tuition. Through our collective love for all that is Caelann, we are hoping to ease her financial burden as best we can.
Background: Caelann has recently transferred to Seattle University in hopes of pursuing a degree in Political Science. She has expressed a great passion for driving political policy in a way that truly helps people and society at large. I eagerly await to see what she is capable of.
Thank you! Truly and sincerely, we thank you for any and every donation. The fact we can successfully do something like this for a third year affirms how special a place RBG can be. The staff is small but our hearts are big. We love you all!
