URGENT: Rusty needs life saving FIP treatment.
I plucked Rusty off the streets after a concerned lady called me. He was lying in a busy road. I didn't have rescue space myself but luckily 'The Society for Abandoned Animals' did. We are working together to save his life.
I have run one campaign already, but unfortunately, Rusty will now need FIP treatment. It's expensive and his condition is uncertain, but everybody (donators, SAA, Tiffany Dodd) are all pulling together and determined to give him every chance of a life.
Last week, Rusty went back to the vets for more tests.
✅ Some Good news: His thyroid results were normal, and most of his bloodwork looked okay.
⚠️ Worrying news: While under sedation, vets found his heart was enlarged on both sides — a condition called obstructive cardiomyopathy. He stayed overnight at the vets and came home with heart medication and pain relief for his mouth.
Since returning, Rusty’s condition has sadly worsened. His tiredness didn’t match typical heart disease symptoms, so after further discussions and reviewing his blood changes, the vets now strongly suspect FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) — a serious illness that can be fatal without treatment.
A few days ago, Rusty began FIP treatment. It’s very costly, there’s no guarantee it will work, but we’re determined to give him every possible chance.
Rusty has already used up the funds raised in his previous campaign and we urgently need help to continue his care.
If you can donate or share his story, you’ll be giving this sweet boy the best shot at recovery.

Proceeds go directly to 'The Society for Abandoned Animals' who are in Manchester. Rusty is currently in their loving care.
❤️ Thank you to everyone who previously donated to get Rusty this far. It isn't going to be plain sailing. I'm sure the ups and downs will continue, and hopefully, there is a miracle in the making.
Rusty thanks you for your love and support ❤️
