❤ Help Lay My Sister To Rest ❤

How do you summarize into so few words a lifetime of love shared? Billie (Bj) was ever-present anytime anyone needed even the smallest of things. Eager to be the helping hand. That help started when she was just 13 and became 'mom' to my siblings and me while dad worked. When she was only 18 she adopted our youngest brother and sister while raising her own little boy. Throughout our adult years she maintained that motherly love and often times bossy nature with her siblings and nieces and nephews. Even her friends can attest to that. She often times opened her door to neighbors and children in the community and gave them a warm meal. She enjoyed taking them to the local creeks to fish and fossil hunt. She even earned the name, Mommy Bj to some of those children. Billie loved gardening and flowers and that was something she enjoyed sharing with Grandma. To know Billie was to love her and to smile with her because she was always sure to bring about the laughter. She would kick my ass or at least threaten it if she knew I was exposing any weakness. But she had them, just like all of us do. That didn't stop her from overcoming. That's all she knew. In August 2021 Billie was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease. A rare lung disease characterized by chronic scarring of the lungs. Her symptoms progressed quickly and she was put on oxygen almost immediately. She was scheduled for a biopsy next week to determine the cause so that she could finally receive treatment. Billie didn't share her illness with many people. She didn't want sympathy. She constantly reminded those closest to her that she had lived a good life and that she wouldn't change anything about being there for her siblings and our dad. She even accepted our mom back into her life with open arms because that's the type of love Billie had; forgiving and unconditional. She loved her 3 children and 2 siblings she raised with an unwavering love. They were her true pride and everything that brought her joy. We had only recently began discussing her final wishes. We were so hopeful to begin treatment and be able to spend more years together. Billie had not secured any life insurance. We desperately want to give her the burial that she so much deserves. The thought of money being a barrier is truthfully unbelievably heartbreaking. She gave so fully of herself until the very end and I ask anyone who is capable to please join us in helping to lay her to rest. Donations may also be made directly to Ogle & Paul R.
