Hi, here's Fernando's Health Journey

We are Kris and Madalena.

We decided to create a GoFundmMe to raise any possible amounts for our dear friend Fernando Samalot, who’s been struggling with his health for the past 10 months. He has, at the time of this writing, been suffering from an undiagnosed condition that doctors from all medical fields are still trying to diagnose. He has done all of the tests imaginable - spinal taps, mris, cat scans and no answers yet.

He experiences daily pain , face feels its melting, neurological issues such as speech that is choppy, and legs and hands in massive pain, unable to walk some days.

The symptoms appeared very suddenly and in the past few days, he has been hospitalized and lost the ability to walk. He lives in New York City and being a photographer he is struggling immensely to be able to pay for alternative treatments as they are not covered by insurance. Fernando's wife is currently working full time and working as a full time caretaker and full time mother. This will support their entire famly unit to guide fernando to a path of healing.

He has a 20 month old daughter and is currently not able to work to support his family. Fernando is a beautiful person and as we know he has touched a lot of hearts, personally and through his many mediums of art, let’s help him heal and feel cared for, by aiding in the immense financial burden this heartbreaking disease is having on him.

We will continue to share updates on the progress and methods he uses to keep everyone updated. Some of the treatments he will try to do involve, a full functional medicine panel, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and ozone therapy to name a few.
