Hi, my name is Shelby and I created this GoFundMe for my dear friend Shannon Mountain, who was in a tragic side-by-side/motorvehicle accident on Saturday, June 15th, 2024. Shannon has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

While riding in her side-by-side, Shannon was hit head on by a drunk driver in a truck that crossed into her lane leaving her trapped in her side by side, and had to be cut out of it. The impact was so severe that it caused a great deal of injury to her and her friend, Nikki. Shannon was life flighted to Strong Memorial Hospital where she is in the trauma ICU. She suffered multiple broken bones including a broken nose, sternum, foot, and right pelvis was shattered and She has underwent an extensive 7 hour surgery today and has a tremendous road ahead to recovery.

During her recovery, Shannon will have medical bills and extensive physical therapy, leading to missed time from work. Those who know Shannon know she is a hard working, independent Mom. I am hoping to raise funds to ease the financial stress for Shannon and her family during her long road to physical recovery.

UPDATE*** 6/21/24

Shannon was moved out of ICU on Thursday and into a regular Trauma room. She will be in Strong for a while. When Shannon is discharged she will require extensive home care for herself and her two young children. She will be non weight bearing for at least 3 months and out of work indefinitely.
