UNCW Track & Field and Cross Country must raise $250,000 by May 31st or their program will be eliminated. This 5k has been organized as a fundraiser to help Save UNCW’s Track and Cross Country programs from elimination by UNCW Athletics. The goal is to demonstrate to the UNCW Administration that the program has strong support from the Wilmington and UNCW communities, the track and local running community, alumni, parents, and friends through raising the required funding necessary to sustain the program for the 2015-16 school year and secure their program for the future.
