I’m raising funds to start my community juicing business by purchasing a juicer that will let me make fresh juices and smoothies for people nearby. This is something I want to build for both my community and my own future. I already have people telling me they need it, and because I live close to a hospital, I want to make juice more accessible through pickup or delivery.

For me, this is about more than buying equipment. I come from a very poor family, and building this business is one of the ways I’m trying to break generational cycles while creating income for myself. My path has always been centered on health and care. I’m a CNA, and I also have an associate degree in health science. Starting this business feels deeply connected to the work I want to do in helping people pursue better health in practical, everyday ways.

Right now, not having a juicer is what’s holding me back. Right now fruit is spoiling as we speak because it needs to be juiced. The funds from this fundraiser will go toward purchasing a juicer, which I estimate will cost about $3,500 to $4,600. Having this equipment would allow me to start serving people who are already asking for juice while taking a real step toward building something sustainable for myself.
