We are heartbroken beyond words by the tragic loss of our beloved Rayven Amuan Edwards—a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter, cousin, and friend. Rayven’s life was taken by domestic violence. leaving behind three innocent young children. Her daughter Royal was shot and hospitalized, while her younger brothers were forced to witness the violent loss of their mother. They must now face the world without the one person who loved and protected them above all else.

Rayven lived with lupus and chronic kidney disease, enduring regular dialysis treatments that would have broken most people. Yet, even while battling serious illness, she never stopped putting her children first. Every ounce of strength she had went into making sure they were safe, cared for, and loved. Her children were her reason for fighting through pain and exhaustion, day after day.

Because of her medical conditions, Rayven was unable to obtain life insurance. No policy would cover her due to her illness, leaving her family without any financial protection in the event of her passing. Now, her loved ones are facing the heartbreaking reality of funeral and memorial expenses, along with the overwhelming responsibility to obtain custody of the 3 children.

Rayven’s children all have significant and ongoing needs:

    •    Million (age 3) was taken by his father and left with the father’s mother before taking his own life after shooting and killing Rayven. Myself Yvonne (Lucy) Edwards has not seen him since and will be using funds toward legal fees to obtain custody or visitation.

    •    Royal (age 10) was recently diagnosed with autism and will need ongoing therapy, specialized support, and counseling—especially as she processes the traumatic loss of her mother.. she was also shot. Rayven was also in an abusive relationship with there Dad and had to basically care for them on her own with help from myself.

We are raising funds to:

    •    Lay Rayven to rest with dignity through funeral and memorial services

    •    Legal fees for the maternal mother Yvonne(Lucy) Edwards to obtain custody of the 3 children.

    •    Assist with legal fees and custody-related expenses to ensure the children’s safety and stability.

Rayven was more than her illness—she was a mother who loved deeply, sacrificed endlessly, and gave everything she had to her children. Her absence has left a void that can never be filled, but with your help, her mom can try and obtain custody to ensure moving forward they will be surrounded with love and constant on going support,and stability, during this unimaginable time.
