Hi, my name is Sandra and I am making this GoFundMe account for my brother-in-law Ray Balion as he has gone through emergency surgery to remove a cyst on his spinal cord.

It all started on December 20, right before the holidays. He went into the emergency room and was immediately put into the ICU. A few days later, he was transferred to Covenant Healthcare in Lubbock, Texas, and on December 24, 2024, he was rushed for emergency surgery as he was losing the mobility in his arms and legs. He underwent surgery where they took out a 4-inch cyst. He remained in the ICU for the next two weeks as slowly the swelling went down. He started to get more mobility in his arms and legs.

He was transferred out of the ICU to Midland and is now in intense physical therapy to regain mobility as he was the main provider of his household. I would ask if you could give a donation to help them pay for monthly bills and also travel money back and forth to Midland.
