I'm raising funds for my father, Raymond H. Grenier, after his sudden and heartbreaking passing following a medical emergency during dialysis treatment. My father had lived with diabetes his whole life and was also a kidney transplant recipient. His loss has left our family devastated and trying to process how quickly everything changed.
Raymond was known to many as “Big Ray”. He grew up in the Smith Hill area of Providence and was the toughest person I knew. He was strong, generous, and deeply loyal to the people he loved. He helped others whenever he could, lent a hand without hesitation, and expected nothing in return. Over the years, he worked hard at Hood Dairy, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, The Home Depot, and W.B. Mason until his health declined.
He will be remembered as a tough, confident man with a huge heart. Along with the deep pain of losing him, our family is now facing unexpected funeral expenses during an already overwhelming time.
Donations will help us cover funeral or cremation expenses, depending on what we are able to afford, as well as the wake, transportation, a headstone, and other funeral-related costs. Any support, no matter the amount, would mean so much to me and the Grenier family as we honor Raymond’s life and give him the farewell he deserves.
