Hello everybody! This is my campaign for fundraising money to get to Durban, South Africa to compete in the International Surf Racing Challenge for the USA National Team.
I have been lucky enough to have this opportunity for the second year in a row, after competing last year in Australia. I competed recently in Virginia Beach at the National Lifesaving Competition and had an incredible and rewarding experience. This is a passion that I am blessed enough to be able to pursue every year through the Capitola Junior Guard program. I got to work with the kids this summer after being hired as an instructor! This opportunity holds a reward much bigger than before, because now I can share my experiences with the kids and inspire them to work harder and show them their potential. Attending this event means the world to me, and I am excited beyond words to have been selected to represent our country once more, but more importantly my hometown of Santa Cruz and Capitola!!!
With college around the corner I cannot afford to send myself to Durban on my own, so if you can please donate any amount to help me get there. Last year my heart was so full when so many people in my community and some whom I never got the chance to meet donated toward my trip to Australia. I truly live in an amazing place with even more amazing people. Thank you so much in advance, I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without you!
