Raygans Road to Recovery

Wednesday 1-29-2020 our family received chilling, life altering news. My two year old nephew Raygan, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is typically a childhood cancer, and also very rare. There are less than 700 cases  a year in the US.  The tumor is located on his kidney and is 11x2x16 cm (the size of a compressed orange.) Removing the tumor is not an option at this point. It is too large, and the chances of the cancer spreading are extremely high. Raygan had surgery today. They did a biopsy of the tumor, and placed a port in his chest for chemo.  There are still a few test that need to be done to determine the stage he is on, as well as a for sure treatment plan. We do not have all of the answers at this point. Mom (Candice) has been battling insurance and was denied state medicaid. At this time Raygan has no insurance. All medical bills including treatment will have to be paid out of pocket. Randy (Dad) is a Army veteran and Candice  had to take a leave of absence from work given the circumstances. If you are in a position to help this family financially it would be greatly appreciated.  As a parent, I cant imagine having to stress about the financial obligation while my two year old is battling cancer.
