Raych and Her Kids Need a Car!

Hi guys, I am Raych’s friend, Kate, and I wanted to do this for her. Raych is an amazing single mom of 2 kids, a 13 and 7 year old. She is a wonderful friend and such a kind soul. She is also a survivor of horrific domestic violence that has left her with permanent painful damage, emotionally and physically. Raych and her children have just moved into a safe housing program where she is trying her absolute best to get back on her feet. Unfortunately she was in a car accident 3 days before moving to the new house with her two kids. She is now too far from friends or family to help with rides to school and work. Raych and her kids can finally be free there and work on healing after all they’ve been through, but in order to live life as a single mother who has multiple jobs to get to, Raych needs a good, reliable car! She has no way to get to work at her salon where she is a hairdresser or to house cleaning jobs she normally does to make money for her family. Not to mention she can’t get herself or her kids to their trauma therapy, important medical appointments (her son suffers from a birth defect where the aorta did not develop the valve to his left lung, leaving it with only 3% perfusion, meaning 1 working lung. Also, a heart condition and other health concerns leaving him needing tests and follow ups weekly. Raych suffers from a connective tissue disorder along with physical injuries from the abuse she is still healing from). Her son’s baseball games start 4 days a week for the next 8 weeks. He was already part of a team before the move/accident and baseball is his life. Her daughter has weekly gymnastics that she loves so much. Raych can't even run to the grocery store when needed. She was supposed to have a liaison to help get her kids to their schools, something she factored in heavily when moving to transitional housing, but their drivers are at full capacity and her children have not been able to attend school for 2 weeks now. She is stuck and really needs help! The father of these 2 beautiful children is currently over $30,000 behind on child support. He completely abandoned any responsibility for his two kids 8 years ago. She really has been carrying this weight on her own.

I would love if this went above and beyond and maybe she even had a little extra to help with a million other expenses that come up when you’re a single mom.
