My name is Chrissy and my baby girl Raya, a 4 year old American Bully, was recently diagnosed with IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). Her immune system is currently attacking her red blood cells. We don’t know how she got it. She was peeing blood and was taken into the vet that same day. She’s been in the vet ER since Wednesday night, and has had two blood transfusions. The original quote we received from the vet was for a two night stay, and today marks the two nights. We know she is going to need to stay a little bit longer. We need her meds to kick in to stop the red blood cells from being destroyed, and unfortunately we don’t know how long that will take, we just know it takes time. I know we have the means for a few more days, but hoping we can get some help incase more is needed. This dog is our everything, my baby girl to a mom of two human boys. I’ve heard and read amazing stories of dogs getting through this, it’s just this first hurdle of the first week or so that’s the worst, and I need to give her that chance.

This is my first time going through this with a pet, and I wouldn’t be asking for this help if she wasn’t such an important part of our lives, and it’s hurting me to think that there is a different potential outcome for her. Any help/shares would be appreciated to help get my baby healthy and back home.
