On November 13, 2025, a devastating fire spread quickly through the McGee Creek/Crowley area (south of Mammoth Mountain, CA). My Uncle, Ray Turner, lost his home of 47+ years. The fire came quickly, and he was lucky enough to get out safely along with his two cats, but there is nothing left of his home. He was a volunteer firefighter and owner of Casa Steam Cleaners.
He raised his three children and said goodbye to the love of his life there. They always looked out for their community and family. They were second parents to many of his nieces and nephews along with countless others.
Together, they saved lives and often gave more than they could afford, and now I am humbly reaching out to see if we can’t all return the kindness and love they so freely gave to others.
He has no personal belongings and no home to return to. A man of 6’4”, this gentle giant often has trouble finding clothing in his size. All money will go directly to him to help him with immediate needs.
If you can donate any small amount or even just continue to share this link so others who might be able to donate can see it, I and the rest of my family would be eternally grateful.
