Ray Sherman's Memorial: A Community Tribute
Donation protected
My name is Amy Lambert, and I have been neighbors with Ray Sherman for the past few years. As many of you know, Ray sadly passed away during the early morning hours on May 12th. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help with the expenses for Ray’s cremation and a small memorial service to celebrate his life and the impact he had on those around him.
Since the passing of his beloved wife Carolyn in 2007, Ray found comfort in staying active and connecting with his community. Known affectionately as the “Mayor of Glocester,” Ray made his daily rounds, always stopping to chat with friends and familiar faces. If you passed by his driveway, chances were he was out front, ready with a story and happy to share a laugh or lend an ear.
Ray had a heart for helping others. Whether it was offering advice on car trouble or tinkering with a small engine, he was always willing to lend a hand. Ray also had a unique talent in creating detailed airplanes and buildings out of popsicle sticks. His presence was a constant source of warmth, wisdom, and humor. Ray touched so many lives with his kindness and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
We are planning a memorial for Ray on Sunday, June 1st from 4-7 at the Lauren Grange, 351 Snake Hill Rd, North Scituate , and appreciate any donations to help give him the send off he deserves. Your support in helping us honor his memory means more than words can express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
