Ray Shere's Cancer Fund

Hello, my name is Emily Shere and I have created this account on behalf of my dad, Ray Shere. Febuary of this year, my father went to the doctor due to an enlarged lymph node. After various testing, the doctors discovered stage 3/4 squamous cell carcinoma, a kind of cancer, in his tounge and lymph nodes. Luckily this form of cancer is relatively treatable, with a 75% chance of recovery after the first round of radiation and chemotherapy. Unfortunatly, treatment costs and  doctor bills have caused significant financial strain, furthered by my dads inability to work due to pain and fatigue caused by his treatment. He has reached the last few weeks of his radiation and chemo but the doctors expect it will be a few months before he is fully recovered from his radiation burns and fatigue, limiting the amount of work he can do.

Anything you are able to spare will be greatly appreciated, be it financial or simply your thoughts and prayers. It will be at least three months before we will know if my dads treatment was successful, and in the meantime our focus will be on his healing and recovery.
