Hi, my name is Tim Naylor. My team and I are fundraising for Ray Richards.

Many of us have known Ray as crew, friend and just an all-around great guy. From being a guitar shredder to a hard-working lighting tech in film and TV, we've been on a few journeys and adventures with Ray. Having a lust for life, they've often ended with good cheer and a drink. Over the years, Ray somehow has defied the laws of nature maintaining a youthful profile and the six-pack of a teenager.

But recently, his health has taken a dark turn. About three months ago, while working as an electric on the TV show “Godfather of Harlem”, life seemed good. Then one day on set, he began to lose use of his arms. As a tech, no arms, no work. While waiting to be seen at a clinic, his legs gave out. Hours later he woke up from a concussion.

Currently, on Medicaid, tests so far have been inconclusive. He can’t lift much more than a plate of food nor can he play his guitar. His hands can barely open and contract while his legs have been severely weakened. Without income and housebound, he'll be waiting months for disability.

While physicians try to determine what ails him, we’re hoping to raise funds to cover food, shelter and utilities. To anyone who knows Ray or can sympathize with his situation, I implore you to donate. Also, if you've any experience or know of experts in dealing with these symptoms, please contact us.
