Ray James Davisson passed away peacefully Friday, January 12, 2024 at UNC Children’s Hospital, after prolonged illness. Ray fought his entire life and showed all that loved him the definition of perseverance.
Ray’s captivating smile radiated joy, touching the hearts of all those who cherished him.
He is survived by his loving parents, Hanna Jurgensen and Charlie Davisson; his grandparents, Cathy Jurgensen, Scott Jurgensen (Sylvia), John and Doni Davisson, all of Raleigh; along with countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at UNC Children’s Hospital who cared for him this past year.
Special thanks to all of Ray’s medical team: Logan, Alexa, Kerrie, Vanessa, Jennifer, Pod G girls, April, Tina, Nicole, Kristen, John, Paige, Dr. McLean, Dr. Arora, Dr. Quinsey and the NICU neonatologist team.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 11:00 AM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary’s St., Raleigh NC 27605
