Ray's been a big part of the trail and ultra community for years as a positive, motivational force. Whether you talk to him or just see him out there running with his dog Tapatio, he's always upbeat and consistently trying to motivate others along their running journeys.

Recently, Ray's housing complex went through a fire. It wasn't his or his family's fault, but now their place has a ton of smoke and water damage.

The repairs will be costly and take a lot of time and he'll have to take a lot of time off work during the process.

Ray specifically wanted me to say that he's not looking to make money off of this and he was even a little reticent to do one of these.

We agreed that it was worth a shot in an effort to replace some days of lost work and if he gets anything extra, he plans to donate it to charity.

Ray and his family would really appreciate the help if you're in a spot to do so.
