Last Thursday July 26th, Ray underwent a surgical procedure.
After he was discharged what we thought was normal post-operation pain became so unbearable that we had to take him to the emergency room. On Sunday night the doctors discovered that he had to have emergency surgery in order to relieve his severe discomfort. This second surgical procedure was much more intensive than the first and he is currently in recovery for it. This unforeseen second surgery has us reeling both emotionally and financially as his recovery time at this point has now been extended.
 

Ray was supposed to receive short-term disability while recuperating - but so far, we have not received any of it and bills are adding up especially since this second surgery was not anticipated. I would never ask for money unless I needed it desperately, but I don’t know what other option there is for us. I simply can’t afford to pay our rent, bills, groceries and now medical bills on my own while Ray is recovering from his surgeries. Anything that can be spared will greatly help us out in getting through this difficult time.
