Recently, my wonderful and inspirational Dad has been diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer which has spread to his liver. His condition is inoperable at the moment and is in the early stages of treatment.

I am therefore running the Sheffield Half Marathon on 12th May 2013 to raise money towards supporting my family while also generating awareness surrounding his condition through charity donations to 'Beating Bowel Cancer'.

Following the tragic loss of my dear Mum, Angela in June 2012 at the young age of 56, this news has come as an ultimate blow and left me feeling rather helpless. However, I am determined to raise my target amount to help out in as many ways as I can.

As a fairly inexperienced long distance runner, this will be my first ever running challenge. Please lets dig deep people and help me out with as little or as much as you can give.
