RAW’s Desk Appeal: Save Our Station

Radio Warwick has been an operating radio station for almost 50 years. We've changed our name a bunch of times, from URW312 to W963, from RaW 1251AM to RAW 1251AM, yet our goal has always been the same: giving a voice to Warwick students. But now we have a problem. Our current mixing desk is decades old and slowly dying. It was given to RAW second hand in 2003 and, like most technology of it’s time, is currently on its last legs, and requires constant repair to keep operating.
Our only solution is to replace the desk.
We have secured the majority of the funding we need, thanks to generous support from the University of Warwick, and the use of RAW’s savings. But we need an extra £1000 of community donations to carry us over the line.
This money will go towards a brand-new hand-made mixing desk which will last RAW for decades to come. We will keep providing invaluable opportunities and experiences to thousands of current and future Warwick students. The purchase of this desk is not only crucial to our station’s survival, but will also make a perfect 50th Birthday Present to Radio Warwick.
Not only will your donation go towards a crucial moment of RAW history, we’re going to give you something in return. Donations of £50 or more will see your name immortalised in a commemorative plaque, placed in our freshly renovated studio.
Alongside this, every £5 you donate will see you entered into a raffle - the prize of which is the opportunity to name the desk. So if you want to christen our new friend as Mixy McDeskface, you might well get the chance.

£1200 - Complete Redecoration of Studio 1 - New shelves for awards, new framed posters, new soundproofing, and new window decal.
£1500 - Wheelchair Accessible Desk - Brand new desk to install mixing desk into, which is sized appropriately for current and future wheelchair users to operate more comfortably.
£2000 - Desk upgraded to a high quality adjustable height desk. New Headphones.
£3200 - High Quality DSLR purchased for RAW Visual
