Hi, my name is Randee, and I am a manager at Athleta. I’m creating this GoFundMe to support one of our own—Marcela and her family—during an incredibly difficult time.

On October 25th of this year, Marcela’s husband suffered a devastating stroke. He spent a significant amount of time in the ICU and has since been moved to an inpatient care facility, where he is relearning how to walk, talk, eat, and do everyday tasks most of us take for granted. He remains hospitalized as he continues to face medical complications, and sadly, this means their family will not be able to experience the holiday season the way so many of us will.

This comes after an already challenging year for their family. Just last year, they endured a serious medical incident involving their daughter. The emotional, physical, and financial strain has been immense, and now they are once again facing mounting medical bills and uncertainty.

Marcela and her family have always been incredibly generous, kind, and supportive to everyone around them. She shows up for others without hesitation, and now it’s our turn to show up for her. Our hope is to help ease some of the financial stress so they can focus on what truly matters—healing, recovery, and being together as a family.
