Hi, we are a welfare and harm reduction collective founded in Nottingham in late 2023. Run by volunteer first aiders, councilors, chemists, nurses and paramedics based all over the UK, we specialise in providing first aid, harm reduction supplies, substance information and general welfare at "free parties" and legal raves.
At the moment we are only one of the two collectives safeguarding the underground rave scene in the UK, and as you can imagine, that comes with a lot of responsibilities and costs!
We do not promote or condone substance use, but we are aware that these activities will happen and have happened for years, therefore it is incredibly important that the attendees of these events feel safe.
We are aiming to raise £1000 pounds to help us protect ravers this coming year.
These funds will allow us to:
- provide life saving drug testing on site (reagent and immunoassay strips)
- purchase essential and costly elements, such as walkie talkies, a kettle, sick bowls, an upgraded first aid kit, condoms, litter "pickers/grabbers" and much more
- provide more training for our members, such as first aid training, naloxone training and more
These services we provide can help reduce substance misuse, fatalities, spread of infectious diseases like Hep C and HIV, and promote positive mental health and support.
With drug poisoning deaths doubling since 2012, and a concerning increase in "dodgy batches" of misold drugs on the rise (eg. fentanyl and nitazine poisoning), our mission is increasingly important.
