We are the Ravenna Shakespeare Company, a group of 13 young actors united by drama school and a shared passion for Shakespeare.

Our aim is to make his work accessible to communities who don’t have the opportunity to experience the magic of his plays.

This May (28th–30th, 2026), we’ll be bringing Romeo and Juliet to Ravenna, Italy; the first step towards the creation of an annual festival that connects the UK and Italy through theatre.

Is there a better play to start with, than one set in the heat of an Italian summer?

We’re hoping to spark a love for Shakespeare and outdoor theatre to new audiences.
