Raven needs your help please

Hi - If you've ever met me, or my family, you'll likely have heard of Raven, our lovable sweet kitten. A year ago we brought her home and from day one she and Sofie, our 10 year old daughter, were thick as thieves. Raven isn't a usual cat, she loves like i've never known from a pet before, and has an uncanny ability to show her affection. She will follow us on walks, sleeps on top of us, not next to us, and has made our house a home.

Yesterday morning we found her in a culvert, near our home. She'd been missing for 3 days and we were beside ourselves looking for her. She was in pain, but had a healthy appetite and a bright sparkle in her eye. Today the vet told us that she was likely attacked by an animal and that that animal pulled so hard on her hind leg that it snapped her femur right off :( The head of the femur is still in the socket and so Raven is in a lot of pain.

The surgery is scheduled for Thursday and we're hand feeding her and carrying her to the litter box until then. The vet bill is $3500, which is so, so, so much for us. Raven has a month of rehab ahead of her, and this surgery can't wait any longer because she's in so much pain :(

If you can spare any amount, please know how grateful we'd be, and how much it would mean to us - especially Sofie, who really has found her best friend in Raven. The two of them have been inseparable for the last year, and if you've ever heard Sof talk about "her cat" you'll know that connection is deep. We all need her to pull through....
