Raven needs support for her battle
Donation protected
Hello, Meet Raven Skye, She was born with Spina Bifida. She has had a lot of struggles in her young life between being sick, her disability and having over 100 surgeries. She always has had her mom here to take care of her. She didn’t get to have a regular childhood like most kids but her struggles have made her a strong and brave girl. She is smart, kind, humbled, beautiful not only on the outside but on the inside as well. She is so grateful for the little things in life and it’s the simple things that have always made her smile. Sadly she is in a battle for her life at the moment as she now has an infection in her bones, an infection in her blood, and her body is not producing blood anymore. They have given her blood transfusions and it doesn’t seem to be working. The Dr.s have no idea why this is happening. Every day her mom has to make the decision to stay by her side or go to work. Yes her dad works and is there for Raven as well, but like most of us know his income alone doesn’t pay all of the monthly bills, especially with the medical bills that come in. Raven never wants her mom to leave the hospital but she can’t afford to stay with her and pay the bills. Her mom is also a very wonderful woman who has devoted her life to taking care of Raven and making sure she has had everything she has ever needed. I couldn’t imagine having to leave my daughter, in her state just to go to work so bills could get paid. Her mom is the type of person that doesn’t ask anyone for anything, I work with her and she received her vacation days for the year a week ago and has burned up half of them already. She in fact was a little hesitant on me even doing this for them, however she knows that Raven is a fighter, she is not throwing in the towel, she is not ready to give up, and neither is her mom. She needs her mom and that’s honestly all she really wants. They are wanting to release her home with hospice any day now so you can imagine the heartache her mom is going through. When her mom shows up to work, she holds herself together and keeps everything inside, she is trying to just stay strong this whole time and I honestly don’t know how she can do it, yet she has to, she has to stay strong. I am super proud of her for the mom she is and the woman she is. I am asking for anyone to donate anything that may help her mom financially so she can be home with her during this terrible time. This girl is so brave and strong but she needs her rock, a.k.a. her mom. I know it’s close to Christmas so anything you can donate is so appreciated. Please help me raise money for their monthly bills to keep these two together so Raven is not alone during the scariest and hardest times she has ever faced. Thank you!
