River Raven was diagnosed with Leukemia on September 6, 2020. River was suffering from pain between her shoulders, which was traveling down her arms, and causing extreme pain. River's parents rushed her to the ER where she went through a litany of tests, which were both long and painful, until her team of specialist diagnosed her with Leukemia. River will start her chemo treatments immediately to get ahead of this and stop any further travel of this disease. The Ravens have been advised that this will be a lengthy treatment and recovery process, stretched over many months. River is one of the most happy and easygoing little girls you will ever have the privilege of knowing. River's
smile is infectious and you can't help but smile when you hear her giggle. River had surgery on her fused ankle over the summer, and her motivation and dream was to one day get to run and play softball. River was just getting back on her feet, and learning to walk again, when the Leukemia diagnosis hit.
River's parents will be taking turns with River at the hospital and being at home with their other child, so that they can be there and support both of their children. River's grandmother also lives with their family and is dependant on the family for care. The Ravens live in Park Couty, which is a long trek from Denver and the hospital that is treating River. The Ravens will also be losing a large amount of income while they support their baby girl and stand by her side as she fights this terrible disease.
If you are able to, please donate to this family so that they arr able to keep their home, and food on the table, while they focus on their little girl's fight.
