Selamawit's Medical Fund.

This is Selamawit Getahun.  She is a 23 year old graduate of the Ethiopian Adama University from the school of law. As she was about to start her new journey in her life, a sudden and tragic medical condition has befallen her. In short, Selamawit was recently diagnosed with a severe mitral stenosis ( a narrowing of the heart's mitral valve, which restricts blood flow) and aortic regurgitation with class 3 congested heart failure. In order to survive her severe medical condition, Selamawit has to go abroad (outside of Ethiopia)  in order to undergo an open heart surgery. Such procedure is very expensive for  her to afforded, as $15000 is needed to carry out this process. Therefore, Selamawit’s hope rest on the generosity and humanitarianism of people that are willing to save her life. Here is someone just like you and me who has a family and friends that care deeply about, here is someone who just like you and me has aspiration and dreams, here is someone who is so young to fully savor the fruits of life, here is someone whose only denial at a continuation of  life is money, money that if we all pitch in could be gained.
