Five years ago, my father’s body was electrocuted from head to toe by a 23,000 volt electricity wire running over the house. He was pronounced dead at the scene leaving the paramedics speechless. After making no attempt to revive him, my uncle stepped in and gave him CPR. Miraculously, a faint heartbeat started, now in a coma. After a full month of no signs of life, my mom was told to contemplate the idea of pulling the plug on him. Again, miraculously he opened his eyes, not being able to move any part of his entire body. After five months in the hospital, having his entire charred skin removed and regrown, he was sent home, still not able to move. To this day he is still trying to recover the range of movement he once had. Receiving physical therapy from my mom every single day, and strength workouts from the same brother that saved his life. Every single day he makes his best effort, moving just a bit with strenuous effort. After attempting to receive a sign of hope from any and every doctor in our vicinity, we were left desperate and in despair with little hope of him ever walking again. One of the doctors that was unable to help us, put us in contact with a doctor from Thailand, who after reviewing the paperwork, gave us the first slimmer of hope. With a 90% success rate, we felt hopeful… until we saw the price tag. An operation of $100,000 is now the daunting goal that we hope each and every one of you can help us achieve. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help us reach our goal of helping my dad walk again.
