Raul Rangel, II and Family

Dear Family and Friends:

As some of you might or might not know, on March 27, 2022, Raul suffered a massive heart attack. At the urging of his wife, after not feeling well from what he thought was nausea and heartburn, he drove himself to the emergency room on the night of March 27th. Little did Valerie know on this night her family's world would be forever changed.

Since March 27th, Raul has had several OR heart procedures and is currently on life support fighting for his life! Family and friends remain hopeful! With the best case scenario of Raul being released from the hospital at a time in the distant future, the family is acutely aware things will never be the same.

The amount of rehabilitation and the determination of if Raul will be able to return to his former self remain in doubt. After a massive heart attack in which the body does not receive blood and oxygen flow to vital organs damage is common. As such, Raul may need a heart transplant in the future and the functionality of his other vital organs, such as brain activity and damage remain to be determined.

Raul was the sole provider for his beautiful family. Valerie and their three beautiful girls Addie, Meadow, and Iris will need our support more than ever before. Raul's mother and father also need all the love and prayers during this difficult time. The family has set priorities of keeping food on the table, a roof over their head, and keeping the lights on. All of this factored in with the unforeseen medical debt that will indeed accumulate.

If you would please consider donating any amount, Valerie and the girls would appreciate it greatly. Unfortunately, a lot remains to be determined in the future. We remain hopeful, but with an uncertain road to recovery and not knowing if Raul will be able to return to his former self and work again the support is needed in the present moment until a long-term plan of action can be decided.
