ANGEL & RACHAEL RAUE HOUSE FIRE
Donation protected
On Saturday morning, June 25, 2016, Angel and Rachael Raue experienced a tramatic house fire. They weren't home, but their fur babies (dogs) were inside. The dogs did not go out the available doggie doors. A neighbor saw the fire and called to the dogs through the door. Lily, the Bichon Frise, followed her voice and went outsite. Mouser the German Shorthair Pointer did not get out until the firemen broke open the door. Both were examined by a vet and will be fine. Rachael,
Angel, and their fur kids have been dispaced as the house is unhabitable until repairs are done and the electricity is turned on.
The house isn't so fine. The kitchen is destroyed (see photo), the dining room and living room have substantial damage as does the part of the garage. The cloth living room furniture will have to be replaced. A lot of kitchen items, such as dishes, will have to be replaced, but a lot of the other items were saved by the awesome Boise E8 fireman.
There is smoke damage throughout the rest of the house. All clothing and bedding will have to be cleaned. Unfortunately they did not have renter's insurance. When Rachael's income dropped last October, renter's insurance was one thing that went away. The property owner's insurance will not cover any of their expenses.
This fund will help cover the above items that need to be replaced, cleaning of everything else, storage units for the household items during estimated 5 months of the repairs, and their displacement expenses such as the hotel room (at Red Cross rate) and the moving expenses.. They anticipate having to be out of the house for five months.
Several friends of theirs have asked if a GO FUND ME site had been established so here it is. They are reaching out to current friends and relatives, facebook friends, and even new friends they haven't met yet. Red Cross and the Fireman Burnout Fund have given them a little cash, which should cover expenses for about a week. Can you help? Anything helps.
