The Rattlesnake Elementary PTA is raising money to support our school.  Some examples of what the PTA funds include:

-$300 grants to every teacher and specialist to use for classroom supplies, continuing education and field trips
-Teacher appreciation events
-Funding the school's reading specialist: Did you know that the percentage of Rattlesnake students who are reading at grade level has plummeted in the last year or so? Our PTA provides funding so that a reading intervention specialist can work with teachers and students each day to raise the percentage of students who are reading at grade level.
-Movie nights, visiting naturalists from the Montana Natural History Center, poets from the Missoula Writing Collaborative and the Animal Wonders presentation at the Rattlesnake Outdoor Classroom were all made possible with financial support from the PTA
-Battle of the Books and workshops with artists from the Missoula Children's Theater
-Purchasing playground enhancements such as hula hoops, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, new balls (footballs, foursquare, tether and kickballs) and sleds for snowy recesses.
