Rattler bite and STEMI heart attack in 1 week SOS

Patti and Kirk need our help. Kirk has been working as a veterinarian tech and animal handler his whole life right here in central Texas. He has served many, many people, like his wife Patti. Patti has been serving the local community for seventeen years as a wound care nurse.

Unfortunately, her skills were no match for a rattlesnake that bit Kirk. In the aftermath of his bill of $164,000 for anti-venom (that’s right, $164,000 just for the antivenom) plus additional hospital bills for snake wound care, Patti was left scared and exhausted. Devastatingly, one week after Kirk was bitten and put into ICU, Patti suffered a STEMI heart attack.

This couple is now in the midst of selling their animals, getting a home mortgage loan and doing what they can to make ends meet all whilst Patti is completely bed ridden and under strict medical orders to lift no more than 2 pounds. She will need medical intervention to treat the heart problem.

Kirk has recovered nearly completely health-wise, but is understandably struggling in the moment. Please help us help get Kirk and Patti back in their feet. Truly, any contribution will help ease the overwhelming financial burden that they’ve incurred all within in one terrible week.
