Rathpeacon Taekwon-Do Irish World champion Competitors

Rathpeacon Taekwon Do was formed in Feb 2010 under the guidance of

Mr. Alan Walsh 6th Degree Blackbelt. It is a young and vibrant club w students both junior & adult members. The club has attended many tournaments since it was founded in 2010 winning both Local, Regional, National and International

Competitions, and we have several International Gold, Silver & Bronze Medallists. Alan

served 30 years as a Senior Advanced Instructor with Irish Defence Forces and was Chief

Instructor for Taekwon- Do within the Military Community. Alan has forty students

graded to Blackbelt Level over the course of his 40 years in Martial Arts Training, the club

is a prominent figure within the Local Community with Classes in Taekwon- Do.

(This sport is not government funded like all other world champion sports in Ireland . The responsibility of the cost to travel & compete for their country is sole reasonability of the competitors.)

World ITF Taekwon Do Championships Barcelona July 2025 is a prestigious 4 – day event with over one hundred Countries taking part – this year the Club had 4 Members Qualified for the Irish

National Team at Blackbelt Level in both Junior & Adult events.
