"Rat Trap" Short Film Crowdfunding Campaign

"You don't belong here. You have a talent, something you care about. You can do something with it. Just... don't look back."

Rat Trap is an short film based around the creative culture in Brighton, UK.

Directed by me, Asher Hayman (Happy Living, Starless Sky, Ghouls: A Brief Insight) and produced by myself and Bertha Ho, the production designer of the project, the film centers around down-on-his luck graffiti artist, Archie (Jamie Joshi) who seeks to break free of his shackles imposed by criminal mastermind Shea D (Ronan Murphy) and pursue his creative dreams.

This film seeks to shine a light on the arts of the youth culture in the UK, specifically in Brighton, where the film will be set and shot. Featuring local artwork, locations and creatives, the films extensive soundtrack will also be comprised of original recordings from local bands and artists, showcasing the talents of Brighton's vast musical culture.

Due to the film being mostly set on locations around Brighton, and our cast and crew's passion for the project, we have elected to set a relatively low funding goal of £500. All funds raised will be used for props, costumes and location permissions in order to bring our much desired sense of authenticity to the film, as well as providing transportation and provisions for the aforementioned cast and crew. Any named donations will be added to the credits under the title of "Special Thanks." Any donations over £50 will be specifically mentioned under an "Executive Producer" credit, as well as early access to the film.
