Hello everyone,

On October 7th, my dad got admitted to the ER after his primary care doctor showed concern for his health. When we first arrived his blood pressure was extremely high (200/102) and his blood test showed high levels of creatinine and potassium. After running tests, it resulted that he has reached ESKD or ‘end stage kidney disease’, where his kidneys are no longer able to function on its own.

As a result, he will need to start dialysis (a machine that acts as the kidneys to filter the waste stored in the blood) for the next few months until we are able find a kidney donor.

This has all been so sudden for us, both physically and emotionally. With my dad not being able to work and my mom taking care of him and my brother in a different state for school, there is only so much that I can do on my own. It really pains me to have to ask as I know everyone is going through different struggles, but any help of any sorts would mean so much to us.

These expenses would help with the hospital bills, as well as any daily living costs.

But beyond the expenses, it would mean a lot to share any words of encouragement and prayers for my parents, especially my dad. I feel that if he knows that people are thinking of him, he’ll be motivated to get stronger and better :)
