Rasta's Fight for Life: Surgery Needed

Donation protected
This is Rasta, our sweet orange tabby. She’s almost 3 years old, with a birthday in January. We adopted her in 2022 after a tragic event, where a pit bull killed her mother and all of her siblings, leaving her as the lone survivor. Since then, she’s been the light of our lives, and we’ve loved her unconditionally since she was a kitten. Recently, we learned that Rasta has a diaphragmatic hernia, a congenital condition that is causing her chest cavity to be compressed, which is putting pressure on her lungs and liver. This was discovered during an emergency vet visit, and the only solution is a life-saving surgery that will cost between $7,000 - $10,000 due to the need for life support during the procedure. We’ve already spent $2,000 on her emergency care, but as much as we want to do everything to save her, we just don’t have the financial means.
We both work tirelessly, with me also attending UTI as a student, but this surgery is simply out of our reach. We love Rasta so much and want to give her the chance to live a full and healthy life. The survival rate for this surgery is high, and she still has so much love to give. If you can, please consider donating to help save Rasta’s life. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us—especially during the holiday season. Thank you for taking the time to read her story and for any support you can offer.
