RaSheim's Kidney Transplant Journey
Donation protected
This campaign is a call to action for friends, family, acquittances, and anyone who feels a desire to help my husband RaSheim Johnson receive a kidney transplant. I want to introduce myself to you, my name is Tiffany Johnson. My husband RaSheim Johnson has been diagnosed with a rare kidney disorder called Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis, (FSGS) to be exact. (FSGS) is a disease in which scar tissue develops on the parts of the kidneys that filter waste from the blood (glomeruli). FSGS can be caused by a variety of conditions. FSGS is a serious condition that can lead to kidney failure, for which the only treatment options are dialysis or kidney transplant.
At this moment I am in the process of testing to see if my kidney is a match for him. Praying and trusting God that I am a match so, that my husband can live an active life without dialysis.
RaSheim is blessed with health insurance but it does not cover all the expenses transplants incurs. The costs are high and we would greatly appreciate help covering the $20,000 deductible and co-pays. This will fund him through pre-transplant and transplant. (Post transplant anti-rejection meds are another story!)
My goal is to help them raise 20,000 to cover his transplant surgery and medical bills while we are out of work and recovering. If you can find it in your heart to donate even $5, I would be very grateful -no amount is too small, every dollar will add up and get us closer to our much-needed goal.
Please donate, anything you can do is much appreciated. We will keep you apprised.
