Hi Everyone,
We are writing this on behalf of our best friend, Audra Sferrazza – one of the most kind, generous, and strong people we know. This March, Audra was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adrenal Cancer – Adrenocortical Carcinoma (ACC) at the age of 30. One of the most rare cancers affecting only 1 in every 2 million people each year. This has been an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time, as Audra now faces intensive treatments, frequent hospital visits and a long road ahead.
This diagnosis came in the middle of Audra’s final semester of nursing school, a time when she was determined to achieve her dream of graduating in May and dedicating her life to caring for others. Her world shifted with this news, and she is now focusing on her health and recovery in order to eventually step into her dream role.
As we all know, insurance can only cover so much, and with a cancer this rare, the frequency and nature of treatments can be unpredictable. Medical bills, treatments, medications, and everyday living expenses are already starting to add up. Your support will help to lift some of that financial burden, allowing her and her family to focus on what matters most—her care, her comfort, and her strength.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Travel to and from treatment centers
• Lodging and meals for extended hospital stays while out of state
• Medical bills and specialized treatments
• Medical supplies
If you know Audra, you know how much light she brings into the lives of others. She is the kind of person who gives wholeheartedly, always standing by others without hesitation and going the extra mile to guide and comfort them through life’s toughest and most frightening moments. Now it’s our opportunity to show up and support her during this fight—and she is definitely ready to fight.
Every donation, share, and prayer truly makes a difference. Audra has an incredible network of love surrounding her, with people lifting her up from all over the world. That encouragement means everything during a time like this. In true Audra fashion, she is also thinking beyond herself. She has expressed a strong desire that any funds remaining after her treatment and care be donated toward research efforts for this rare cancer. Due to how uncommon this diagnosis is, there is limited funding and research available—and she hopes to help change that for others in the future.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference to Audra and her family. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean so, so much to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, kindness, and prayers.
With gratitude,
Amanda and Casey
