Rare Red Hair Can’t Be Replaced

Hi, my name is Catherine Johnstone and I am one of Crystal’s best friends. As you likely know Crystal has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. This diagnosis was found after she had spent her 40th birthday in the hospital monitoring her heart. Leave it to Crystal to celebrate heart month by literally getting her heart checked. She has been so strong throughout all of this despite canceling her birthday trip to New York and missing so many more planned events. In fact, throughout all of this she has held it together despite the disappointments. The first time I heard her voice crack wasn’t until she mentioned that she would likely lose her hair through chemo. She handled the heart news with grace and the cancer news with bravery, but to lose her hair was just the breaking point. As you know, Crystal has been blessed with beautiful red hair. Heart issues and cancer have robbed her of enough so I would like to start a fundraiser to help her keep her hair. The cold cap therapy is expensive at $4,500 but has been proven to help patients keep their locks. Crystal will have to spend longer amounts of time during her chemo treatments to do the cap. This will be a small sacrifice in order to ensure she does not have to regrow all of her hair. Any donations big or small would mean so much to her and help make this journey a little more manageable. Any leftover funds will be put towards the medical bills that are sure to come.
