Kaite Burawski Rare Ovarian Cancer Medical Expense

Kaite Burawski is a 22-year-old from Hartly DE, who received her Associate's in Dental Hygiene this spring from the University of Bridgeport. Kaite has been the starting pitcher for the Bridgeport Knights. Her freshman season was taken away by Covid, but in the past 2 years, she has broken numerous pitching records at UB. She is still pursuing her bachelor's degree and is currently 7 strikeouts away from 600 strikeouts. She couldn't wait for the 2023 softball season to begin. All of her spare time when not working or in class was dedicated to lifting/strengthening and pitching practices.

On December 23, Kaite underwent surgery to have a 15cm tumor removed from her ovary. She has been diagnosed with an endodermal sinus tumor(yolk sac germ cell) that has only been seen in 1% of the population. Kaite will begin chemotherapy within the next week to help her fight this.

While Kaite has never needed help in the pitcher's circle, now she and her family need your help and support for the unexpected medical expenses, travel and rehabilitation that will need to occur for her to successfully fight this battle. We will continue to update this page with her progress.
