My name is Jonathan Pinckney and im from Walterboro SC.  I am the father of 3 amazing children and the husband of my beautiful wife, Erica. I have served as an emt and paramedic in the Colleton County community for 15 years. I was recently involved in a wreck while working as a paramedic in the back of an ambulance.  During the wreck I was knocked unconscious. After being transported to Savannah Memorial Hospital it was found that I had no serious injuries as a result of the wreck. The physician stated they did find a lesion in my head. I have since had additional testing and it has been determined that the tumor is malignant. It was found incredibly early but is in a sensitive area. At its current state it is 1.4 cm x 1.5 cm and encased in the area known as the clivus. I have my first appointment at Duke University Hospital to consult with some of the leading radiological oncologist and neurosurgeons in the United States on October 29th.  With possible surgery on the horizon and the quick nature of which this was discovered I have little time to prepare financially.  With travel, time away from work, and medical expenses I find myself hoping that my community will stand with me in this fight. I dont know what the future holds but I know who holds it. My faith is in Jesus Christ. I am an avid member of Faith Church in Walterboro SC.
