Raquel Ferreyra Ocharán

Raquel Ferreyra Ocharán moved to the area in 2019 with her family and began working at FVHS in the fall of 2019. She has already inspired countless students in their study of the Spanish language. In three years, she has become involved in our community and school as an honor society co-sponsor, ticket taker at football games, and SAT proctor.

In May of 2022, Raquel received the news that she had endometrial cancer. Since then, Raquel has undergone surgery, recovery, and three chemo treatments. All this while raising three beautiful children on her own, and coming back this school year to work full time to support her family.

Raquel is not one to ask for help, so then we will ask for her! Financial needs include money for hospital bills, medications, travel to Duke for treatments and some appointments, and also for her special dietary needs. Anything would be appreciated, from kind words, a home cooked meal, or donations. We thank you so much for your time in reading this and your consideration to help Raquel, Victoria, Emilia, and Mateo.
