Rappel Maui Employee Kāko'o Fund

Rappel Maui is a locally owned small business that employs the local community here on Maui.

As a small business we rely on you our loyal guests, families, friends, groups, tours, suppliers and the local community to, in turn, ensure our employees have the ability to meet their basic financial needs and provide for themselves and their families.

Although the fires on Maui did not physically impact Rappel Maui they have nonetheless ravaged our community both those directly impacted by the fires and those impacted by the economic conditions that have followed.

The full extent of the fire’s impact likely will not be known for several weeks if not months and we are actively gathering resources to support our employees and their families who are enduring unprecedented hardships during this incredibly tragic and challenging time.

This fund will go directly to the individuals within our organization in order for them to meet their basic financial needs including but not limited to housing, food, transportation, medical coverage & unanticipated costs associated with the subsequent economic impact while the uncertainty of this impact continues.

As someone who our employees have positively impacted in one way or another through your experiences, affiliations, partnerships and personal connections we ask for your "Kokua" (help) to support these individuals as the island grieves this horrible tragedy.

Any funds that are remaining after taking care of our employees will be donated to the Hawaii Community Foundation, Maui Strong Fund, and remain within the Maui community.
