Kathy Cooper Funeral Expenses

Hi everyone,

This is not something I have ever done before but it was suggested to me by some close friends to help our family out.

My mom died quite suddenly from what was supposed to be a fairly common surgery on her heart as she had some blockage. Unfortunately, they discovered a hole in her heart and they were unable to stop the bleeding and save her life.

Over the past year, my mom had deteriorated and her quality of life was not good. She was in and out of the hospital 8 or 9 times in the course of a matter of months. The hospital she had been going to did not help her the way she should have been helped and they continually sent her home. She would end up in the hospital again a few weeks later. She eventually was able to go to a different hospital with an excellent cardiologist but by then it was too late for her. At that point, she was unable to walk or move around at all.

My mom was a school teacher for over 40 years and touched the lives of 100s if not 1000s of people. This should not have happened the way it did.

She died with tons of medical bills, very little money, and no life insurance. We are now faced with paying for a funeral that we were not prepared for. Our family appreciates any help that anyone can provide. Thank you!
