Oaklynn Mallen’s RSV battle

Thank you for taking the time to support the Mallens through their 11week old daughters RSV journey. Oaklynn is the youngest of three to the most wonderful parents, Kelsey and Chase.

Any money raised will be directly used to support Oaklynn and her parents as she transfers from KGH to CHEO to continue her medical journey. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers and any contributions are such a help.

this is RSV and let me tell you, this is one of the hardest things we have ever had to witness!! our girl is strong and she will be ok, but watching your 2 month old baby go through all of this is one of the hardest days of my life ♥️ mommy, daddy and your brother and sister love you so much Oaklynn!

sorry for all the posts but im not really …

it’s so hard for a mom of multiple children to be away for a long period of time.. i have 1 currently in the pediatric critical care unit, and 2 more at home .. unfortunately i can’t be in two places at once.. i’ve been with Oaklynn since sunday, today i went home to shower and spend a couple minutes holding my other 2 babies they miss mommy and their baby sister, and lord knows i miss them too!

i sit here staring at my baby girl laying in her bed on oxygen, because she’s having difficulty breathing. i CANT HOLD HER, I CANT SEE HER BEAUTIFUL FACE, I CANT BREASTFEED HER, I CANT DO ANYTHING FOR HER!!

i sit here helpless, i know my baby is in the best hands, i know she’s getting what she needs but it doesn’t make it any easier on us. she’s 11 weeks old and she’s gone through more in her little life then i have in my 28 years!! my heart is hurting. i’m running on no sleep because i’m worried about her, im worried about my other 2 babies at home hurting inside because mommy and sissy can’t be at home with them right now.

pls stay home if you’re sick, don’t touch or kiss someone else’s baby unless given permission. i don’t wish this on anybody. watching your baby struggle to breathe, watching your baby gag because they have so much mucus in their lungs that they can’t get out, i feel her pain... and Oaklynn mommy and daddy and your brother and sister and all your friends and family are fighting this fight with you ♥️♥️♥️

she has a partial collapsed lung, they’re going to intubate her and we will be getting air lifted to cheo . but i got to hold her briefly before ♥️ i love you so much baby
