At the end of April of this year, we took Ranger to the vet because she was having blood in her stool. We were really scared this whole time that Ranger was not going to make it. Drops of blood were coming out when she tried to poop, and she was not holding down her food. She slept all day and wanted to go outside every 20 minutes. She strained to poop and it was soon discovered that she had a mass on her colon.

After two weeks of X-rays, blood tests, sleepless nights, emergency visits, and overnight hospital stays, Ranger was diagnosed with lymphoma. She currently has a mass on her colon... but there is good news!

Ranger's vet is very hopeful that she will recover with chemotherapy. The type of cancer that she has almost always responds well to the chemo. It some cells, it does not, but that is very rare. Ranger is only six years old and we want to give her a chance at a long and happy life.

The chemo therapy treatments range anywhere from $150-$400. Plus the emergency visits and medication we have already had to purchase, her medical bills are already over $3000. 

We are not asking for you to give hundreds of dollars because any little bit will help. We know that we may not raise the $3000, but even $10 here and there will help us pay her bills. 

Ranger brings joy to anyone she meets. Lots of you have met her and fallen deeply in love with her as she jumped up on your lap and licked you on the face. She is a very important member of our family and any small donation will be greatly appreciated. This has been such an unexpected event, and we do not want to view it as a tragedy. Rather, we would like to view this as an opportunity to help her in the best way we can. We want to give her the kind of care she gives to us and everyone she meets.
