Deerpark Middle School boasts one of the most diverse student populations in the greater Austin area, including families with financial need. We want *all* Rangers to know that they are an important part of the Deerpark community by making sure that their basic needs are met.
This is where you come in. Rangers helping Rangers: Empowering students through community.
Please consider supporting DMS students through a direct, tax-deductible contribution to the PTA. Your donations will fund some of the following programs:
Food during holiday breaks - Some children who attend DMS rely on free breakfast and lunch during the school year. Through a partnership with Hope Austin (www.hope4austin.org), the PTA is able to provide bags of nutritious food to take home prior to holiday breaks.
Snacks - Healthy and protein-based snacks so that children who come to school hungry can focus on their learning.
Scholarships - PE clothes and field trip fees so that all students can participate, regardless of financial situation.
Supply closet - Restock school supplies, deodorant and feminine hygiene products so that kids have access to the basics.
